Luis Alfonso Velásquez After School Program K-5th Grade offered at El Centro de la Raza
Provides a one hour before-school session and a three hour after-school session Monday through Friday for up to 24 children who are in need of support with homework assistance, tutoring and mentoring. Parents bring children to the before-school session and return in the evening to pick up their children. Children are transported to and from Beacon Hill International and Kimball Elementary schools by van and they participate in academic as well as cultural activities.

Multiservice center offers ESL classes, foreclosure counseling and a legal clinic as well as outreach, advocacy and assistance for veterans. Also operates a congregate meal for older adults, a food pantry, a bilingual child care/preschool program, maternal health and early perinatal care, and a before- and after-school program with homework help and tutoring. Some services focus on serving the Latino community or Beacon Hill residents. Provides case management to high-risk youth to increase school involvement and prevent violence and criminal activity.
