STI Diagnosis and Treatment offered by Public Health - Seattle & King County's Sexual Health Clinic

Offers diagnosis and treatment of patients with sexually transmitted infections (STI) and their sexual contacts.   Routinely tests those aged 24 and under for: -  Gonorrhea -  Chlamydia -  Syphilis -  HIV Individuals, ages 25 and older, are tested based on their risks and STD symptoms.  Clients are also offered a blood test for herpes simplex virus-2 (HSV-2), the most common cause of genital herpes.  All persons wishing HSV-2 testing will be charged $30 for the test; the clinic cannot provide the blood test at no cost.  Those with herpes-like sores can have the sores tested at no cost. Additionally evaluates clients for pre-exposure prophylaxis, which is a single pill people take every day that reduces their chances of getting HIV if they are HIV-negative.

Application process

Patients may make an appointment or visit in person.  Clients who need to be seen later than 3:30pm should call to make sure clinic is still accepting patients for the day.

Eligibility

No restrictions. Staff are sensitive to the needs of LGBTQ individuals.

Fee

Fee is based on service.   Offers sliding scale fees with a minimum fee of $15, but no person will be denied services because of inability to pay.   Additional fee is charged for herpes testing.   Medicare, WA Apple Health (Medicaid) and insurance are accepted.
