Crisis Intervention / Crisis Line offered at Support, Advocacy & Resource Center SARC
Operates a free and confidential 24-hour crisis hotline to assist anyone who has questions or concerns about sexual assault or a crime. In addition, SARC provides financial support to clients who would not otherwise be able to seek professional mental health care. Provides the following services: - Onsite Individual Counseling - Crisis Intervention: advocates provide short-term crisis intervention, information, support & validation - Medical Advocacy: staff & trained volunteer advocates respond to hospital calls to provide medical advocacy for victims of sexual assault - Legal Advocacy: provides legal advocacy at police interviews and court proceedings - Therapy Referrals: assists clients in the process of finding a counselor who has experience working with sexual assault survivors Also provides information regarding payment options such as sliding fee scales, Medicaid, and crime victim's compensation.
