Core Program offered at The Service Board
Coordinates a six-month mentoring program for high school aged youth who come together with adult mentors from a broad range of academic, racial, cultural and economic backgrounds. Program participants meet twice weekly from January through May, with weekend activities rotating between intensive service learning projects and snowboarding. The Core Program (CP) curriculum addresses five core competencies: self-knowledge, ethic of service, the arts, job-readiness, and civic leadership. Attendance and participation in CP also fulfils the community service requirement for graduation, and alumni receive prioritized access to paid leadership, internship and job opportunities with us and our partners.

The Service Board
Builds community around the power of youth. Develops and implements culturally relevant programming for high school-aged youth from marginalized communities (BIPoC, LGBTQAI+, low-income, immigrants, refugees, houseless youth, and or those in foster care). Provides youth an inclusive space where they can find their voices and foster a more equitable future. Our year-round programming facilitates equitable access to traditionally inaccessible outdoor activities. In combination with community service projects, adult mentoring, social and environmental justice education, creates courageous communities of young change-makers, athletes, and future environmentalists.
