High school youth who reside in Seattle and are enrolled in English Language Learner classes. Please call for more information on eligibility.

Description

Offers a program for high school students in Seattle that includes job readiness, academic success, career exploration and internships. Youth attend workshops, field trips, campus tours and work on community projects. YJRT works with high school students and their parents/guardians. Parent/guardians concentrate on understanding the local public school system (grading, attendance and graduation requirements), parenting techniques and financial literacy. Supports participants with their transition to the United States and, students to find their path towards a self-sustaining livable wage career.
