Focus Population
Description
Organizes support groups for families and friends of drug abusers. Anonymous self-help support groups helps the families of addicts gain an understanding of drug dependence and of the family's roles that provoke and enable drug abuse. The group focus is on the family and their need to work on their own attitudes and behavior as the most effective way to help the drug abuser. Organizes groups specifically for teenage friends and family members seeking support.

Provides support groups for friends and families of drug abusers. Based on the 12-step programs of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon, participants share their experience, strength and hope to help families and friends of drug abusers.
