Provides drop-in medical and dental care to people who are homeless in South King County and Seattle at a mobile van. No prescription pain medication. Offers STI testing, birth control, and overdose prevention medication.
Walk in primary care for acute and chronic conditions. Clinics held at free meal programs, day centers, shelters and encampments, providing basic medical care to homeless individuals and families living in South King County and Seattle. A doctor or nurse provides exams and treatment.
Program does not carry narcotics or provide any prescription pain medication.
Also offers:
- STD, HIV and Hepatitis C testing, pregnancy tests and birth control
- Access to behavioral health and chemical dependency specialists. Harm reduction services including clean needles and naloxone overdose prevention kits
- Some sites additionally have mobile dental care (services focus on treating dental pain NOT preventative cleanings).
Can also help people connect to other community services including:
- A doctor's office that can provide follow-up care
- Mental health care, including counseling
- Substance use counseling and treatment via a harm reduction approach
- Dental care
- Vision resources
- Enrollment into health insurance
- Enrollment into ORCA LIFT transportation
- Referrals to shelter, food banks, legal assistance and domestic violence programs
