Offers multiple support, education, and socialization groups. Peer coaches empower people to achieve a solid recovery foundation and achieve life goals. Peer coaches support individuals in recovery from: - Addiction Issues (chemical/behavioral) - Mental Health Challenges (short/long term diagnosis, grief & loss) - Chronic Illness (HIV/Hep C – Newly Dealing/Newly Diagnosed) Peer coaches are individually matched with people seeking support in their recovery. The matched pair meets for one hour per week for 26 weeks. Coaches are individuals in recovery who have reached long-term stability. Peer Employment Connections Offers weekly peer support groups that support participants to address fears and barriers about returning to work or work through obstacles they are encountering in their job. Offers vocational assessments, job search tools, resume building, interview preparation, coaching, benefits planning, employment-related clothing and transportation support, and ongoing support for job retention. Resource Connections Offers individualized support to identify and access a range of community resources such as housing or medical care. Participants meet one-to-one with a peer to help make the linkages to essential supports.

Administers the Jobs for Veteran State Grant program, a nationwide program designed to provide assistance to veterans transitioning from one career to another. Provides counseling, resources, employment connections, community partnership advocacy and virtual tools to assist in meeting the veterans’ preferred transitional career goals. Will teach how to manipulate a computer and create a document, as well as how to improve typing speed. All levels are welcome. - Mock Interview: Teaches valuable interviewing tips and provides the opportunity to practice frequently in a supportive and realistic environment. - Resume Critique: Provides resume critique and assistance from an employment specialist. The First Year and Career Services offer career exploration and advising to Seattle Central students. We can help: - Explore career opportunities, interests, and academic pathways to get there. - Provide academic guidance to first year and undecided students on class selection and potential areas of study. - Develop resume and cover letter writing skills, & prepare for interviews. - Discuss networking, job search methods, and scholarship resources.

Helps young womxn of color; focusing on Black women and girls, advance in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) career and education opportunities. Meet one-on-one with participants to set goals, check in, and offer any resources they need to get over barriers in their way. Hosts workshops on career readiness like resume/cover letter help, interview tips, and employment soft skills. Interviews women in STEM to hear their journeys, challenges, and do Q&As. Offers workshops on protective factors like self-care, microaggressions at work, and implicit bias in the workplace.
