Guides a 4-day summer backpacking adventure in the wild backcountry for teens and young adults. Peers live outdoors - hike, cook, sleep beneath the stars, and learn new ways to navigate grief. Combines daily practices in navigating grief with the daily rhythms of living in the wild. Provides all the gear. Wilderness treks are about engaging with grief, moment-to-moment, with peers who have also experienced a significant loss. The simple acts that take place during a multi-day trek - walking beneath the trees, putting up a tent, cooking over a fire, observing the way a leaf is unfurling - have a way grounding people. A steady focus on each moment helps heal. Counselors and leaders are experienced in working with youth, grief, and living outdoors. Hikes are designed to be challenging but manageable for healthy teens and young adults. In the wild, we have permission to grieve however we need to grieve. We encourage you to share as much or as little of your grief experience as you wish. Whether you express your grief aloud or not, you will share the trail with peers who are navigating a similar journey. You are not alone.

Provides community grief support for adults and children through one on one, an individual grief counseling program; as well as grief support groups, which are offered throughout the year. A lending library of grief related materials is available to the public.

Offers a three-day overnight summer camp for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Activities include games, fishing, swimming, archery, crafts, a large and small group grief sessions, and one on one counseling.
