Therapists and clinical interns support local children, youth, and caregivers through difficult times. The Behavioral Health Program uses a trauma and culturally responsive, evidence-based approach to address issues such as – but not limited to – depression, family conflict, trauma, and anxiety. Also facilitates a therapeutic gaming program called CoRe where Seattle middle school students play video games to cultivate communication and social emotional skills.

Multi-service family support program offers outpatient mental health services for children and families. Services include case management, brief intervention treatment, less restrictive alternative support and family, group and individual therapy.  Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Provide an array of counseling and support services to families with children and youth who may have emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Works to promote positive changes in behavior, help the child /youth and family learn appropriate coping skills, improve communication skills including learning to resolve conflict and manage emotions in a healthy manner. Offers individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy using evidenced-based practices as well as case management services to coordinate with schools, Children’s Administration, juvenile justice and other systems that are involved with the particular client.

The treatment services are conducted by a mental health professional with individuals and any persons who are natural supports in their lives. -  Family Therapy: services are provided for the direct benefit of an individual, with family members and/or other relevant persons in attendance. Interventions identify and build competencies to strengthen family functions in relationship to the individual’s identified goals. The individual may or may not be present. -  Group Therapy: services are provided to an individual in a group setting to assist them in attaining the goals described in the service plan. There are groups for children, adolescents and adults. Group types include:     *  Support     *  Psycho-education     *  Discussion     *  Growth and Experiential     *  Therapy

Compass Health provides a broad continuum of counseling services to individuals who have ongoing mental health issues and need assistance in reducing/managing symptoms and improving coping and daily living skills.  Intensity of services is based upon the needs of the individual.  Individual therapy, community support services, case management, psychiatric medication, and group services are available. Provides specialized services for children, youth and families as well as for older adults.   Dawson Place only serves child victims of sexual or physical abuse and their families.   Not all services offered at all locations. Community-based counseling center provides a wide range of social, psychological, and readjustment services. Readjustment counseling helps veterans make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Offers Individual, group, marriage and family counseling as well as referrals and connections to other VA or community benefits and services. Vet Center counselors and outreach staff, many of whom are Veterans themselves, are experienced and prepared to discuss the tragedies of war, loss, grief and transition after trauma. Services for a Veteran may include individual and group counseling in areas such as bereavement, military sexual trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals.

Psychiatric and Medication Management: therapists, case managers, peers, and physicians work together to provide treatment and support to help alleviate symptoms, manage chronic symptoms, and enhance recovery for people who suffer from mental health or substance abuse disorders. Provides culturally sensitive individual, family and group counseling and youth mental health treatment. Counseling happens onsite, virtually, at schools, home and/or other community settings. Also offers: - Support Groups - Social Skills Classes - Case Management Integrated Cognitive Therapies Program Provides treatment for young people with mental health and substance use disorders. Offers a comprehensive evaluation of mental health and substance use disorders followed by individually tailored treatments.   Treats a range of substance use and psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral problems and other conditions commonly experience by those use substances. Prescribes and manages psychiatric medication and offers continuing care services for those need more support.  Program includes option for family to be involved through Parent Coaching appointments and groups. Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) Provides intensive mental health services in a wraparound team structure for children and youth involved in more than one system. Team is comprised of significant individuals involved in the participant’s life. Team members include natural supports (family, friends, religious leaders) and the professionals who work with the family (counselors, nurses/doctors, schools, CPS and probation officers). Provide access to crisis services for established patients as needed.

Children and families are supported in the community with evidence-based practices and creative partnering with community organizations. Staff work to build quality relationships for children in the family, school and community.  Services offered include: Family consultation, Family crisis intervention, Community support services for children and adolescents,  Professional counseling and therapy for children and families,  Assessment, education and referral resources for families regarding child/adolescent issues, Specialty areas Parent and adolescent groups, Summer experiential social skills program, Psychiatric medication services, Wrap Around with Intensive Services (WISe). Offers an adult only mental health facility that provides multiple services which include individual, family and group therapy, case management, Peer Support delivered by Certified Peer Counselors and Therapeutic Psychoeducation. Crisis support is provided by Therapists and Case Managers during business hours. Medication Management and Medication Monitoring services will be referred to the Lakewood office. This clinic serves all populations with accommodations needed to make the service accessible and meaningful through Mental Health Specialists and interpreters to promote recovery. For children and adolescents who are exhibiting problems of mood, behavior or adjustment. Child Mental Health Specialists work with children individually, in groups, and in the context of their families to improve behaviors, promote positive change and strengthen families' connections with ongoing community supports. Peer supports for parents and a parent Wellness Group are available.
