Provides on call, in person and over the phone support to vulnerable youth. Works closely with existing emergency youth shelter providers including Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Cocoon House.   Current Safe Place sites include: Metro Transit buses, YMCAs of Greater Seattle and the King County Library System. Provides short-term crisis counseling, referral to local resources, and emergency intervention for youth and parents through a national hotline. Problems routinely dealt with include, but are not limited to, family conflicts, suicide, pregnancy, abuse, running away from home and alcohol/drug addictions.

Serves youth who have run away, are experiencing homelessness, or are otherwise in need of temporary shelter. Family reconciliation is emphasized when appropriate. Length of stay varies based on individual need. Crisis intervention, information and referral services, and case management are also available.

Provides a crisis intervention line. Additionally provides support and referrals around such topics as dealing with bad test grades, running away from home, homelessness, a recent breakup, depression, anxiety, bullying, pregnancy, self-harm, or substance use disorders.

Provides a confidential text-for-support service for youth in crisis. This service is intended to assist with issues revolving around abuse, bullying, family problems, depression, and/or suicidal thoughts. Counselors provide support via text messages.
