Necessities Program offered at Tri-City Union Gospel Mission's Men Facility

Distributes 85 food boxes, clothing, hygiene/toiletries, and household items each week.

Programs offered by churches, restaurants and other organizations that provide meals in a central location for people who lack the resources needed to buy and prepare food. The food may be distributed to people who line up for the meal or may be served to people seated in a dining hall setting, and participants rarely need to establish eligibility for the service.

Soup Kitchens

Programs offered by senior centers or other community organizations, generally outside the food pantry network, that pack shopping bags (or other containers) with a supply of nutritional donated and surplus food for distribution to low-income individuals or families, students or older adults to supplement their meals at home.

Brown Bag Food Programs

Programs that provide furniture for people who need it. Available items depend on what has been donated and is on hand at any given time. The collection may include but does not specialize in adapted furniture, baby furniture or other specific items.

General Furniture Provision

Programs that pay for or provide soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, combs, brushes, cotton swabs, deodorant, facial tissue, toilet paper and other personal hygiene/grooming supplies for homeless people and other individuals who need them.

Personal/Grooming Supplies

Programs that accept cosmetics, shaving utensils, beard trimming equipment, hygienic supplies and other personal care items and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to shelters and other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve. Also included are programs that assemble a collection of personal/grooming supplies for women and/or men and make the materials available to people in the community who need them.

Programs that provide clothing for people who need it. Available items depend on what has been donated and is on hand at any given time. The collection may include but does not specialize in children's clothes, work clothes, maternity clothes and shoes.

General Clothing Provision

Operates a youth and young adult drop-in center. Provides safe space, school supplies, computer/Wi-Fi access, pantry/food bank, open mic, and community involvement activities. 
Also offers case management, homework club and tutoring workshops, and information or referral to other community resources.

Youth and Young Adult Drop-In Services offered by YMCA of Greater Seattle at Enumclaw Y Social Impact Center

Operates a shelter drop-in center for youth/young adults. Offers snacks, clothing closet, showers, laundry, harm reduction supplies, bus tickets, computer/WiFi access, pantry/food bank amd living room/TV. 
Also offers access to housing resources and navigation, case management, workshops for enriching life skills, and information or referral to other community resoures.

Centers where homeless people can spend time during the day or evening. Services may include counseling and/or medication monitoring on a formal or informal basis; personal hygiene supplies; facilities for showering, shaving, napping, laundering clothes, making necessary telephone calls or attending to other personal needs; and other basic supportive services. Some centers may also provide meals or facilities for cooking. Programs that focus on homeless youth may provide case management, living skills training, family reunification assistance, classes and other educational supports, pre-employment training, health education (including HIV prevention), help in obtaining valid ID and other services that help youth successfully exit street life and transition to independent living.

Homeless Drop In Centers

Public or private organizations that provide showers, baths or other facilities where homeless people, travelers and others who do not have access to private bathing facilities can wash. Included are permanent shower facilities as well as mobile installations that can be moved from place to place. Also included are organizations that provide vouchers that people can use to access bathing facilities.
