Provides a virtual mental health program for youth and young adults. The comprehensive treatment includes group, family, and individual therapy, with 9-11 hours of treatment services each week for an average of 6-10 weeks. Specialized tracks include but are not limited to LGBTQ2+, trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use. Trauma-informed master-level clinicians use evidence-based therapy techniques, including CBT, DBT, and EMDR, as well as music, art, dance, movement, and mediation.

Provides an online therapy service that connects Seattle youth to a dedicated, licensed mental health therapist through private messaging, live sessions, or both from the privacy and convenience of their computer or smartphone. Users can regularly message their dedicated Talkspace therapists via text, voice, or video. Also offers virtual resources and online classes through Talkspace Go, an app designed to improve teen mental health. Participants are typically matched to a therapist licensed in Washington within a few hours or days. Talkspace technology pairs users with a therapist based on factors such as what they’re struggling with and therapist speciality. Once signed up, a member has access to one live video session per month and unlimited messaging therapy from their computer or cellphone.

HRC tools include: rent assistance, security and utility deposits, background screening fees and other direct housing costs; referrals to site-based housing, housing voucher and other programs; linkages to life skills, financial literacy, and/or employability training and career-building services; plus referrals to partner entities.

Provides a low barrier overnight shelter to youth. Typically, 18 beds are available for participants as well as two crisis beds. Shelter beds are assigned based on vulnerability, yet overnight staff do their best to accommodate all young people who need a place to sleep. More beds become available in cold weather.

Provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices. Veterans can call the hotline and press 1 to reach the Veterans Hotline and speak confidentially with a counselor through a program developed in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. American Indians and Alaska Natives can text NATIVE to 741741 to connect with someone at the Native and Strong Helpline.

Operates a national hotline where individuals can call when they are about to use a substance alone. They will speak with someone while using who will make sure that they're safe. Callers will be asked for their first name, phone number, locations, county, and type of substance being used. This information is kept private unless the individual stops responding, in which the call handlers will reach out to EMS to go to the callers location to help.

Offers trained navigators who work one-on-one with Pierce County residents who are seeking living wage jobs or college education and are unsure of where to begin. Helps residents determine which employment service or education path will best meet their employment goals, and directly connects callers to education and employment organizations. Also helps WorkForce clients access transportation programs, benefits programs, or other services that help remove barriers to employment or education. Service is provided until the client has connected with the best employment or education program, and barriers to employment have been removed.

Operates the Winter Welcoming Center, open every morning with extended hours during severe weather. Provides warmth, WiFi, and refreshments, and distributes clothes, shoes, and sleeping bags.

Offers a youth-centered crisis-response program that meets youth safety and well-being needs by linking them to existing support systems. Includes gender separate meetings, as well as special groups for Native Americans, Spanish speakers and those who identify as LGBTQ.   Some meetings have interpreters for individuals who are hard of hearing.  Potential members should call to be matched to the nearest group. Operates the primary telephone access point for all those in King County experiencing an emotional crisis.   Trained volunteer phone workers assist callers in personal crises by offering emotional support as well as community resource information and referral. A crisis may involve threats of violence, thoughts of despair or suicide, relationship troubles or any other situation which causes emotional distress.   Those not in emotional crises may also call to learn about counseling and other mental health care resources.   Connection to professional responders when needed, including: - Mobile Crisis Teams (MCT) - Designated Crisis Responders (DCR) (i.e. outreach and involuntary commitment) - Children's Crisis Outreach Response System (CCORS), a service of YMCA - Next Day Mental Health Appointments (NDA)

Operates a statewide 24-hour behavioral health help line for those dealing with issues related to substance use, problem gambling or mental health.   Assists callers in connecting to state funded mental health, problem gambling and substance use disorder treatment providers with a particular focus on providers that offer medication assisted treatment. Also assists callers in connecting with privately funded substance use disorder treatment providers.   Provides support, information, and service referrals for: - Treatment options - Substance use disorder services - Gambling treatment - Medication for Opioid Use Disorder - Harm reduction services - Recovery support groups - Immediate mental and emotional support for people while seeking treatment or in recovery - Support for family members Connects to professional services when needed, including: - Next Day Substance Use Disorder Appointments (NDAs) - Bridger Appointments to MOUD providers statewide

Provides on call, in person and over the phone support to vulnerable youth. Works closely with existing emergency youth shelter providers including Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Cocoon House.   Current Safe Place sites include: Metro Transit buses, YMCAs of Greater Seattle and the King County Library System. Operates a 24-hour phone line staffed by volunteers who receive and return calls, then refer callers to local and online support group meetings. Meeting times and locations are also updated on the website. Meetings are based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous; they provide mutual support so addicts can live one day at a time drug-free. Addiction is viewed as a progressive physical disease, affecting an individual emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Provides child protective services, including intake, screening and investigative services in response to reports of suspected child abuse and neglect.   CPS social workers investigate appropriate referrals to assess the safety and protection needs of children and, when necessary, intervenes by providing services designed to increase safety and protect children from further harm.   In order to remain involved with families for more than 90 days, CPS must obtain either a court order or a voluntary service agreement with families at risk.   CPS may include in-home protective services to keep a child safely in the family home or temporary out-of-home care during assessment or reunification efforts.   Callers reporting suspected child abuse will be asked during the call: - The name, address and age of the child.   - The name and address of the child's parent, guardian or other persons having custody of the child.   - The nature and extent of the abuse or neglect.   - Any evidence of previous incidences.   - Any other information which may be helpful in establishing the cause of the child's abuse or neglect and the identity of the perpetrator.  (1-866-END-HARM is a toll-free telephone-based clearinghouse provided by Washington state to connect callers to appropriate abuse reporting lines; interpreters available in common non-English languages, including Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Laotian, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. ) Targeted services for Indian children are available at the Office of Indian Child Welfare.

Provides a variety of services to foster children and their families. Family Time Specialist Provides parent-child, sibling, or transportation only services for children, youth and families (DCYF). Serve and support clients in the following manners: ​ - Develops transportation schedules to transport client(s) to and from family time/sibling visits. ​ - Ensures and maintain the safety and well-being of program participants during visits. - Facilitates engagement between parent(s), and sibling(s) with an atmosphere that supports the parent-child, or relationship between siblings. - Supervise/monitor the family time/sibling visit with the professional working with the family. Family Preservation Services Provides family-focused, behavior-oriented, in-home counseling, and support to youth who are at substantial risk of placement or for children returning to the home from out-of-home care. Services provided include: ​ - Crisis Stabilization –services delivered by Professional Staff that are short-term, acute, and use an active and systematic approach to stabilization. - Engagement – activates aligned with the principles and skills associated with Motivational Interviewing. - Parenting Strategies –helping and teaching parents and caregivers to learn and use the skills they specifically need to safely parent their children. ​ - Family Resources - Engaging families to strengthen parent advocacy, identify personal growth opportunities, and identify accessible and supportive natural supports and community resources that directly support child safety in the home. The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Provides professional level services to improve family functioning to promote the child’s or adolescent’s health, safety, well-being, and welfare, supporting the family to remain intact and allow children to remain or return home. The benefits of this program include: - Increased appropriate parenting skills. - Increased appropriate parental discipline and behavior management. - Improved parent-child relationship. - Decreased child behavior problems. Promoting First Relationships Provides early support for infants and toddlers​ up to the age of three years old who have been diagnosed with a physical or mental condition that has a high probability of resulting in developmental delays. Families eligible for this program will receive services to strengthen the following capabilities and skills for their children including: - Cognitive delays. - Physical (fine or gross motor) delays. ​ - Communication (receptive or expressive language) delays. ​ - Social or Emotional delays. - Adaptive delays. In-home Family Therapy and Counseling Services Performed by licensed professionals and are delivered consistent with cognitive behavioral treatment modalities. Therapy and counseling services are focused on the needs of the family as they directly relate to child safety. Benefits of these services include: - Support for a family managing difficult child and teenage behaviors, including monitoring and safety concerns. - Family discipline support for caregivers in monitoring pre/teenage youth. - Support for moderate to high family conflict, youth is displaying some high risk behaviors. - Support with adolescent behavior problems including self-destructive behavior and provoking dangerous reactions in caregiver.
