Provides crisis intervention, counseling, referral to community resources and, when necessary, free transportation to the Confidential Safe Shelter. Offers support in order to provide opportunities for domestic violence victims to interact and discuss experiences and feelings.

Offers an online volunteer matching system, providing access to hundreds of volunteer opportunities. Manages other community initiatives and group projects for corporate partners.

Offers gender-specific and Native American support groups, outreach for homeless individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues, a state-approved 8-hour Alcohol & Drug Information course for court fulfillment, DUI evaluations for treatment recommendations, Intensive Outpatient Treatment (9-20 hours/week), Outpatient Treatment (less than 9 hours/week), and individual mental health counseling for those with chemical dependency. All services are DBHR-certified.

Anyone may call the 24-hour support line for assistance and information. Provides around-the-clock hospital responses to local emergency rooms and offer in-person advocacy for anyone seeking a medical exam or evidence collection. The team can support caller in making informed decisions regarding medical care related to trauma. Under Washington law, survivors of sexual assault have the right to have an advocate or support person present during medical and legal proceedings.

Women’s Hearth is a drop-in day center in downtown Spokane–a safe space for women who have experienced poverty, trauma and/or homelessness to find a “hearth” of welcome, respect, and community. Women’s Hearth provides activities, classes, social service referrals and housing-search case management in a compassionate and supportive environment 5 days a week. Participants also have access to phones, computers, internet, healthy food, hygiene supplies, and showers.

Coordinated Entry at the Housing Resource Center is a centralized intake, assessment and coordination point which determines appropriate level of assistance to stabilize housing and assist self-sufficiency. HRC tools include: rent assistance, security and utility deposits, background screening fees and other direct housing costs; referrals to site-based housing, housing voucher and other programs; linkages to life skills, financial literacy, and/or employability training and career-building services; plus referrals to partner entities.

Substance use disorder assessments offered on walk in basis. Strongly supportive of the homeless community to provide access to services.

Offers 12-step support groups for alcoholics. Includes gender separate meetings, as well as special groups for Native Americans, Spanish speakers and those who identify as LGBTQ.   Some meetings have interpreters for individuals who are hard of hearing.  Potential members should call to be matched to the nearest group. Provides on call, in person and over the phone support to vulnerable youth. Works closely with existing emergency youth shelter providers including Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Cocoon House.   Current Safe Place sites include: Metro Transit buses, YMCAs of Greater Seattle and the King County Library System. Offers trained navigators who work one-on-one with Pierce County residents who are seeking living wage jobs or college education and are unsure of where to begin. Helps residents determine which employment service or education path will best meet their employment goals, and directly connects callers to education and employment organizations. Also helps WorkForce clients access transportation programs, benefits programs, or other services that help remove barriers to employment or education. Service is provided until the client has connected with the best employment or education program, and barriers to employment have been removed.

Operates the primary telephone access point for all those in King County experiencing an emotional crisis.   Trained volunteer phone workers assist callers in personal crises by offering emotional support as well as community resource information and referral. A crisis may involve threats of violence, thoughts of despair or suicide, relationship troubles or any other situation which causes emotional distress.   Those not in emotional crises may also call to learn about counseling and other mental health care resources.   Connection to professional responders when needed, including: - Mobile Crisis Teams (MCT) - Designated Crisis Responders (DCR) (i.e. outreach and involuntary commitment) - Children's Crisis Outreach Response System (CCORS), a service of YMCA - Next Day Mental Health Appointments (NDA)

KCLS offers homework assistance in several ways.    Study Zone: Volunteer tutors provide free homework help at KCLS libraries. Helps alcoholics achieve sobriety through 12-step support groups.

Operates a statewide 24-hour behavioral health help line for those dealing with issues related to substance use, problem gambling or mental health.   Assists callers in connecting to state funded mental health, problem gambling and substance use disorder treatment providers with a particular focus on providers that offer medication assisted treatment. Also assists callers in connecting with privately funded substance use disorder treatment providers.   Provides support, information, and service referrals for: - Treatment options - Substance use disorder services - Gambling treatment - Medication for Opioid Use Disorder - Harm reduction services - Recovery support groups - Immediate mental and emotional support for people while seeking treatment or in recovery - Support for family members Connects to professional services when needed, including: - Next Day Substance Use Disorder Appointments (NDAs) - Bridger Appointments to MOUD providers statewide

Clean and sober transitional housing offered to adults recovering from substance use disorders (SUD).

Facilitates 12-step program support groups and a 24-hour helpline for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. Provides emotional support and peer-in-recovery counseling to help people with substance use disorders deal with feelings and share experiences. Recovery literature is available free at meetings. All NA meetings should be friendly to individuals that are on opiate replacement medications such as suboxone and methadone. Meetings available in Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Edmonds, Kirkland, Lynnwood, Redmond, Seattle and Shoreline.

Operates a 24-hour phone line staffed by volunteers who receive and return calls, then refer callers to local and online support group meetings. Meeting times and locations are also updated on the website. Meetings are based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous; they provide mutual support so addicts can live one day at a time drug-free. Addiction is viewed as a progressive physical disease, affecting an individual emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Operates a national hotline where individuals can call when they are about to use a substance alone. They will speak with someone while using who will make sure that they're safe. Callers will be asked for their first name, phone number, locations, county, and type of substance being used. This information is kept private unless the individual stops responding, in which the call handlers will reach out to EMS to go to the callers location to help.
