Provides a teen judge and jury for youth who have been charged with a traffic infraction.  The sentence may include community service, writing a letter of apology or an essay, going on a police ride-along, participating in Street Law curriculum, or serving on a Youth Court panel.  
There is a 6-month deferral period for each case, after which, if all conditions have been completed successfully, the charge will be dismissed.

Youth Court offered at Bothell Municipal Court

Organizes a teen court to reduce or dismiss charges for traffic infractions for youth ages 16-17.

Programs that provide opportunities for students and/or school-age children and youth to make a contribution to their local community through volunteer service projects or other forms of assistance. The purpose of the program is to develop leadership skills and good citizenship practices in youngsters who are interested in service to others.

Youth Community Service Programs

Courts which serve as an alternative to Juvenile Justice Courts for youth younger than age 16 who have committed minor delinquent and status offenses or exhibit other problem behaviors. Youth whose cases are heard in youth courts are judged, convicted or exonerated and sentenced by their peers. Variously known as teen, peer, and student courts, youth courts can be administered by and operated by a variety of agencies within a community including law enforcement agencies, juvenile probation departments, juvenile courts, private nonprofit agencies and schools.

Youth Courts

Programs that provide opportunities for students and/or school-age children and youth to gain a clear understanding of the process of government and to develop an appreciation for their approaching citizenship responsibilities. Some programs offer firsthand experience by allowing young people to establish mock governments, observe elected officials and public servants in their daily activities or participate in events like "mayor for the day" or "police chief for the day" which enable them to take on the duties of the office under the supervision of the person being replaced.

Youth Citizenship Programs

Provides a safe space for teens after school to explore service opportunities, connections to supportive and trustworthy adult mentors, and exposure to post-secondary education and employment opportunities.

Provides a safe space for middle and high school students to explore service opportunities, connections to supportive and trustworthy adult mentors, and exposure to post-secondary education and employment opportunities.

Programs that offer a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, academic programs, sports, reading clubs, workshops and other recreational, leisure, cultural, social and civic activities for school-age children and youth in out-of-school hours. The objective of youth enrichment programs is to promote healthy social interaction and help participants maximize their social, emotional, physical and academic potential.
