Dove House Advocacy Services empowers victims of crime and abuse in Jefferson County through education, advocacy, and crisis intervention. Offering emotional and practical support. Provides civil legal advocacy to youth primarily between 12-24 years old. TeamChild’s legal team works to secure community-based services, help youth access appropriate education, healthcare, mental/behavioral health resources, safe and stable housing, navigate school discipline, and works with youth incarcerated in the Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) system. Advocacy efforts focus on education and school-related issues such as enrollment, school discipline and access to special education; securing safe and stable housing for youth; and helping clients access public benefits, including health care, mental health services, DDA and other support. Youth outreach workers work with disconnected youth (12-24 years old) who are homeless, runaway, or high-risk.  Workers help connect the youth with needed services such as shelter, food, clothing, health care, employment, parenting classes, training, counseling, support groups, and alternative schools. Advocates provide case management and follow-up services at an individualized pace. May also offer assistance in preparing and filing CHINS petitions for emancipation of minors.

Provides crisis intervention line, safe temporary housing for female domestic violence survivors and their children, as well as information and referral and group counseling for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families and friends. Sexual assault services include support, information and referral, and advocacy for people of all ages during medical exams and through the criminal justice system. Also provides legal advocacy services, including assistance with filing protection and anti-harassment orders, accompaniment to court proceedings, and legal referrals. There is a children's advocate who provides education about the cycle of domestic violence and provides childcare (with needs observation) during client appointments.

Students having difficulty attending school, completing homework, with social interactions or behavior are eligible to work with family support advocate. The advocate assists with tutoring, communication between school and home, and works with the parents to come up with a plan to help their child succeed in school.
