Volunteers help the library serve the community by checking in and returning materials to the shelves, by assisting library patrons with technology questions, by tutoring people in the English language, by helping with special projects. There are occasional openings in the crew of volunteers who help mend damaged books or prepare new books for library circulation.

A team of staff and volunteers are present to provide personalized support, encouragement and assistance to each participant. Provides some down-time to those who provide care to disabled individuals. The disabled individuals must have a memory loss situation (such as Alzheimer's, stroke, MS etc.) for the caregiver to be eligible for this program. This program works in conjunction with Aging and Long Term Care but is overseen by Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington.

Volunteers 55 years or older are placed at “work stations” throughout Snohomish County, according to the type of volunteer work they enjoy and skill sets they have to share, for example hospitals, food banks, and Senior Centers.
