Provides education, resources, consultation, counseling, and other support services for individuals, churches, homes, schools, and other organizations.

Provides child abuse and neglect prevention services, parent education and support, supervised visitation, crisis intervention, child care, and victim support.    Parenting classes are offered throughout the year, and satisfy the requirements for mandatory court-ordered parenting classes.

Healthy Families victim services including DV support group, domestic violence and sexual assault support, intervention, advocacy, legal advocacy, emergency and transitional housing. HFCC also provides support, advocacy, intervention and legal advocacy to people affected by general crime.

Initial appointment addresses concerns, provides information and support, assesses symptoms and helps make a plan for the future. Crisis counseling is available after hours through Harborview emergency room. A social worker will provide crisis intervention and make counseling referrals and appointments.

Treats the trauma of sexual or child physical abuse through -  Trauma-specific counseling -  Parent education program -  Parent-Child Interaction Training.   The main goals of treatment are symptom reduction and trauma integration.  Trauma is the primary focus, and may also encompass treating not only symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety, but also other related issues resulting from the abuse.   Most clients complete therapy in an average of 16-20 sessions.

Advocacy-based counseling related to sexual harassment, rape, violence, or abuse.

Provides counseling and support to those in the community, especially children, who have been abused physically, sexually, emotionally, or witnesses to domestic violence or drug use. Services include brief intervention treatment, case management, family and group therapy, and individual treatment.  Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Provides services and resources to victims of domestic violence, including 24 hour crisis line, confidential domestic violence shelter, domestic violence advocacy, support groups, assistance with domestic violence protection orders, food, diapers, clothing, and an advocacy center for family and children with a therapist on site, which offers advocacy-based counseling services with focus on children who are victims of abuse. The staff and volunteers support victims to become survivors of abuse through counseling, shelter, medical and legal advocacy; and methods of prevention and self-preservation, if prevention is not an option.
