A crisis line that is staffed 24 hours, daily to offer caring and supportive assistance for people affected by sexual assault, physical violence and domestic violence. All calls are confidential.

The Deaf Services program at Sound is a progressive and uniquely qualified program that brings together multi-disciplinary counseling professionals who are also specialists in working with Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafblind, and late-deafened adults and children. Our Clinicians are committed to addressing disparities in mental health and substance use disorder treatment by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate treatment for our unique population. Services are available both in-person and telehealth. Deaf Services Clinicians provide effective, expert help with: • Counseling for everyday problems or an unexpected life crisis; • Healing from trauma; • Enhancing relationships & communication skills; • Resolving workplace concerns & garnering support during career transitions; • Providing psychiatric assessments, treatment, and medication management; • Assessing and treating substance use disorders • Addressing the complex challenges of children & adolescents; • Parenting support & education; • Providing resources for and assistance with accessing other needed services such as housing. Our Clinicians provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment addressing mental health and substance use disorders. Dove House Advocacy Services empowers victims of crime and abuse in Jefferson County through education, advocacy, and crisis intervention. Offering emotional and practical support. General, legal, medical, advocacy. Services are person-centered, trauma-informed, wrap-around, confidential, and free of charge.

Offers shelter, One-on-One Advocacy, Legal and Housing Advocacy for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, their children under 18 years of age and pets.

Offers one-on-one counseling and group therapy.

Provides a 24 hour help, information and referral hotline for sexual assault, abuse, or harassment.

Domestic violence, physical and sexual assault services including victim advocacy, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, forensic medical exams and evidence collection, counseling, and referrals to community resources and programs.

RPC offers individual therapy and group therapy for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Individual therapy sessions are typically one hour once a week and are coordinated directly with the therapist. Groups are weekly two-hour sessions.   Groups include:   -  Therapy Groups for Female Survivors of Sexual Abuse   -  Therapy Groups for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse   -  Support Groups for Partners of Survivors

Readjustment counseling helps veterans make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Offers Individual, group, marriage and family counseling as well as referrals and connections to other VA or community benefits and services. Vet Center counselors and outreach staff, many of whom are Veterans themselves, are experienced and prepared to discuss the tragedies of war, loss, grief and transition after trauma. Services for a Veteran may include individual and group counseling in areas such as bereavement, military sexual trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals.

DV/SAS offers advocacy-based counseling by appointment at the Ferndale Community Resource Center during regular office hours.  Advocacy-based counseling provides a special kind of support to someone who is coping with the effects of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.  The advocate can work with anyone affected by domestic violence/sexual assault over time to help deal with issues of victimization and to identify healthy and effective ways to cope with trauma.

Provides live, secure and anonymous crisis support for victims of sexual assault, their friends and families over the phone or via the website using a secure and anonymous instant-messaging type format.   Rape and sexual assault victims communicate directly with trained crisis support volunteers.   Hotline can also connect callers to their closest sexual assault crisis center. In addition, the Online Hotline website provides a library of information about recovery, medical issues, the criminal justice process, local resources, and support for family and friends of victims.

Provides 24/7 crisis response, legal and medical advocacy, counseling, shelter, and support groups for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.

Treats the trauma of sexual or child physical abuse through -  Trauma-specific counseling -  Parent education program -  Parent-Child Interaction Training.   The main goals of treatment are symptom reduction and trauma integration.  Trauma is the primary focus, and may also encompass treating not only symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety, but also other related issues resulting from the abuse.   Most clients complete therapy in an average of 16-20 sessions.
